Day Two - punga cove to Blenheim

Breakfast at punga cove resort before retuning to the track. Back to Blenheim today. sounds like a James Blunt album.

A bit of rain first thing, looks like it Will clear..very settled, only a light breeze. Hopefully a northerly develops to help push us into Blenheim towards the end of the day.
Needless to say it didn't.
The three of up managed to miss the sign post to picton. Amanda even said 'look 65km to picton' but failed to notice the direction of the arrow.
We.continued on foe 7km happily enjoying the view of the water and the muscle farms.. till it finally occurred to me the water should on our right.. we were on the wrong side heading to a dead end. Extra 14km.. what did that matter if we had another funny story to share.
Double back, back on track and off to Portage for lunch. Pack lunch provided by punga cove resort...just the job to see us through to picton.
A bit more road then we rejoined the Queen Charlotte track for the 'best part', a short climb and then steady downhill to the end of the track. ICE CREAM stop welcome energy boost in the hot sun.
We followed the Link Pathway most of the way into Picton. I was a great little path, avoiding the road and luckily no people coming in the other direction.
Couple more climbs then we dropped down into Picton for 2nd lunch or 1st dinner and the Thai/Japanese Cafe on the main street, and a refreshing beer.
Amanda and James had a mandatory swim. I watched up to me knees.
The off to blenhiem for the last 20k riding of the day. Mostly flat but it did feeling like a mission.
